Copyright and licensing

Authors contributing to GEUS Bulletin agree to publish their articles under an Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0), allowing third parties to read and download, redistribute and reproduce for any purpose, even commercial.

Articles will be published immediately after the final corrections of the master proof have been made (exceptions may occur in the case of some special issues, by arrangement with the editorial office). When posted online, articles will be assigned a DOI number (Digital Object Identifier) whereby it becomes possible to search and cite them without delay.

Authors (or their institutions, if requested) retain copyright of their work, with first publication rights granted to the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland in the publication, GEUS Bulletin.

Author self-archiving and preprints

Authors are permitted and encouraged to post any version of their manuscript to personal or institutional websites, in repositories and preprint servers, prior to and after publication. When making a submission to GEUS Bulletin, authors should declare any such publication of their manuscript. The DOI link to the published article should be added to any such posting.

Publication fee

Publishing in GEUS Bulletin is entirely free of charge to all. There is no submission fee and no publication fee. Publishing illustrations (including colour) are also free of charge, as are supplemental audio-visual and interactive material.

Authors and readers can access GEUS Bulletin content for free, online. Printed copies of some volumes are available for purchase.

Lead- or corresponding-authors with a GEUS affiliation may also request our pre-submission editing service, which includes a language check and developmental editing of their manuscripts. This service is free of charge and subject to availability in the editorial office. Using this service in no way guarantees publication. Email enquiries@geusbulletin.org to find out more about this service.
